    Wallet had FOUL ODOR for months!I appreciate the slim style & light weight of this wallet. With that said, this wallet STANK for months!!! I received it March 17, 2017 & wasn't able to use it until 4 months later, the end of July! I did research online regarding what to do to get rid of the foul odor. One source said outdated toxic (and often illegal in the West) chemicals such as formaldehyde or sulfur may be used in China to treat materials to keep insects away from the products during the long boat ride. To outgas the chemicals used to make the wallet, I washed it, soaked it in a baking soda solution, used a vinegar solution, used a Bounce dryer sheet, stuffed it with paper towels & newspaper, & left it outside, hoping the fresh air would help... Now, this is not something I ordinarily would do. I probably would have returned a different product or just thrown it out. I went above & beyond the call of duty in this one instance though, because I really liked the idea of a light weight skinny wallet. 2Great wallet for 3-4 years at a timeI've been using the Big Skinny wallet now for almost over 4-5 years. This is my second one. Replaced the last one after 3+ years. Sturdy, thin, lightweight, serves its stated purpose well. I personally hate big wallets, so this is wonderful for me. Also, I love having the change pocket in the back. Trust me, having a change pocket will save you money over time. You'd be surprised. I expect to continue to buy this wallet every 3-4 years. Why do I need to update it? The fabric gets stretched ever so slightly. So overtime, I do find the cards are not as securely staying put. But considering all the positives, it's a small price to pay. I also mitigate it by putting in multiple cards in slots. It's pretty easily fixable. 5Searched for 4 hours for the perfect slim wallet - so you don't have to.I had 4 major criteria when wallet shopping, and I couldn't believe how hard it was to find a wallet that met them all. I thought i'd find one in minutes but it took hours!My criteria: 1) made well (no super cheap zippers, no plastic credit card holder booklet - are you kidding me with those) 2) be slim and fit easily into the small pockets we suffer with on most women's jeans/pants 3) have small zipper area for coins (and for musicians like me, a spare pair of earplugs and a guitar pick!) 4) have an ID window for quick presentationAgain, I didn't think this would be that hard, but so many wallets didn't have one of these things. they'd have a flap/button arrangement for the coin area - and that adds a lot of bulk. They'd have no ID window. They wouldn't have a separate place for cash and coins. They would be made so cheaply that half the reviews said the zipper broke in a week. They'd be too long or too fat for little jean pockets. So yeah I kept striking out and a friend told me to look up Big Skinny and I am SO GLAD I DID. The wallet meets all the criteria, seems very well made (the material is fairly indestructible and the stitching seems good). And, it fits in the tiny pockets on women's pants.I'm super happy with this wallet and recommend it to anyone who doesn't care about having a fancy leather designer thing and just wants something slim (it's only 1/2" thick even with cash and cards in it, a little more when i cram earplugs and guitar picks into it, but not much!).Some more benefits - the cash area is the perfect size - no need to fold bills, but not too long so cash will slip out easily - it's in there! Also, the credit card slots can all hold 2 cards easily, so the 6 slots available for cards really can be 10-12. It's also really easy to remove and replace cards in the slots too, but if i hold the wallet upside and shake it, they don't fall out either. It's freaking kicka$$. I was so frustrated when wallet shopping and I'm glad Big Skinny understands me. I'll probably marry this wallet. Thanks for reading! 5Bill compartment too shallow, only holds maximum 10 cardsI don't know why they say this holds up to 25 cards, there are only slots for 4 or 5. I guess you could put more than one card in each slot, but no way is this wallet going to hold more than maybe 10. Length is the same as most mini wallets, but it's shorter in terms of height. American dollar bills fit okay, but most standard receipts are 3 inches wide and these don't fit in the bill compartment without folding them in half lenghtwise, which is a pain. You would also have to fold any foreign currency larger than a dollar bill lengthwise to fit it in the bill compartment. I found it hard to get the clasp to close. Wallet material itself seemed sturdy enough, no fraying at the seam during the brief time I owned it. 3Cards fall out!!I used this wallet for a trip, put two cards in each slot (4 total) plus my DL in the window. By day two, cards easily fell out on to the floor as I pulled it out of my back pocket... this is not ok.I would have to use a lot of cards to make the pocket full enough to keep cards in place. If the snap went over the long side vs the short, this problem could be avoided. Not pleased. 1Exactly As DescribedI bought this minimalist wallet for travel after carefully reading the description and reviews. It is exactly what I was looking for. (I have a travel vest with pockets that are too small for a regular wallet, but this Big Skinny fits perfectly.) I had to be selective when deciding what to put in it, but it is the perfect size for carrying my essentials. The zip pouch for coins is very small, as expected, but I can easily put excess coins in another vest pocket. The teal color is a true teal (not as blue as pictured), and a little darker than pictured. Beautiful. Some reviewers expected a matte finish, but I like the shiny nylon because it should be easier to clean. If I ever wear this one out, I know I'll be buying another one! 5I love this walletI love this wallet. It s thin, it s light, it s durable, and it holds everything. It also comes in awesome colors. I bought this years ago and then it was stolen. I immediately bought a new one. The worst part (other than $100 in cash) of the theft was the loss of this wallet! This smaller one is no different! 5Buy this minimalist wallet!Great little wallet! I had one very similar to this 20 years ago and wore it out because it was so perfect. Other reviews said that with only 1 card in a slot, the card was loose - not in my experience. I shook the wallet upside-down and tried to flick the cards out, but they held strong! I am bummed that it appears there are multiple small holes in the fabric, I would exchange it but I wanted it for an upcoming trip. I would have given 5 stars if the holes/snags weren't there...I hope they aren't signs of a weakness in the fabric. 4i think this is the best wallet I have ownedI think this is the best wallet I have owned. Its slim and doesn't take up too much room in my purse. In addition, because its so slim, when I travel, I am able to fit this into the inside zip compartment of my purse for extra security.Its holds enough cards, the important ones. The few cards that I rarely use but like to have with me, I put in the inside zip of my purse rather than my wallet.After my last credit card was sent to me and it had a chip, to protect it, I took a piece of aluminum foil and carefully folded it in half and cut it the approx size of a dollar bill, or maybe a bit larger. I then put it in the bill section of the wallet. Then when the wallet is closed, the foil is on either side with the credit card slots in the middle of the wallet and protects against thieves looking to steal info from the chips. So instead of buying another wallet that was RFID protected, I just easily adapted this one.i highly recommend this wallet. Its well made, slim and functions well. 5
