Customer Reviews

Definitely fatter than I'd hopedThe first review I read, the reviewer said it was super fat, but the others said that it was just fine in size, so I decided to give it a shot. Sadly, it is pretty fat - once you get in all your cards, etc. And I didn't even fill mine up! I had 6 cards (of the 9 total slots) and my driver's license and it was far fatter than my current wallet (I have a fit-in-my-back-pocket wallet). But, since it was only $10 and not worth the effort to try and return, I decided to permanently remove the middle flap. That made it a much more acceptable size, but you do have to sacrifice your driver's license slot. So it's up to you - if it's just going to go in a purse, it might be okay (the buttons are strong, so I highly doubt it would pop open even when completely full), but my intention was to get a go-to wallet that I could just carry with me or put in my pocket, and as-is, it is definitely not one that can easily fit in your pocket (it is also taller than a pants pocket is as well). The quality of the wallet itself is decent - just not the size I had hoped for. 2LovelyIt was hard to find an appropriate card case for a gift for my Mom. Having long overstuffed and outgrown her current one, she mentioned her need (as one can only "mention" a need a few weeks before Christmas) for a new one, and lamented the difficulty in tracking down one that would serve her purposes. She doesn't need a coin purse, and this doesn't have one. She doesn't need a cash compartment, and this doesn't have one. She carries a wallet with coin and cash compartments, and just wants to tuck a Twenty and two quarters for a phone call in a spare space as a bonus. This has one. What she really needs is a holder that will take all of her credit cards and gift cards and frequent shopper cards and lord-amighty-I-really-need-to-spend-less-time-in-retail-situations cards, with a receipt tucked in here and there and no need for a lot of digging to find any of it.This has that. It's a double-snap design, so upon opening "page one" of this nice, durable leather wallet, you find a clear ID slot (which can take multiple card-sized items) as well as a tiered display for your most used cards. "Flip the page" to the second snap, and that compartment features two more facing tired storage folios. And it still manages to remain sleek as its gusseted spine is built to be filled. You won't wind up with a 2" thick case that tapers uncomfortably into a bulging "V" at its hinge. It's my guess (and my hope) that she will run out of credit cards and store cards before she runs out of places to store them all in this lovely find of a handbag accessory. A great value, and highly recommended. 4Great Compact Wallet & Holds a Lot of ItemsI bought this wallet because I was sick of lugging a giant purse around when most of the time I just need a few basic essentials. This wallet was more then big enough to my license (and about 2-3 more id's behind it in the same slot) and about 9 other cards (and that's just single stacked). In addition it also had 2 large pockets where you could place additional items. The snaps were very sturdy & secure, even when the wallet was packed to full. I used this wallet for probably over a year before it started to look worn...the leather on the outside of it started to fade & small pieces began to fall off. All-in-all this wallet was definitely worth the money, as it simplified every card I needed into one simple & small package! 4It's easy to see how the Buxton will open accidentally when ...This is the closest thing I could find to what I was really looking for. This uses two snap closures. When credit cards are added the wallet opens up. See photo. The one I had before used a small strap attached to the back that secured to a snap on the front, which kept the wallet from opening. It's easy to see how the Buxton will open accidentally when in a purse. A strap is a FAR better idea - makes for a slimmer profile and does a better job of keeping the contents secure. 4Perfect wallet if you have a lot of cardsI have quite a number of credit cards and rewards cards. I was looking for a wallet that is compact, has a large number of card slots, and is easy to use. This is the perfect wallet for that. Plenty of slots for everything, plus it has 2 internal pockets and 1 external pocket for receipts, a bit of cash, or extra cards. My favorite feature is how easy it is to open and close. It has two snaps to open each half of the wallet, and to close it you just squeeze it together in your hand. It's very small for the amount of card slots it contains too. Most of the women's wallets with a lot of card slots were really bulky, or were annoying to open and close. If you carry more than a few bills, need to fit a lot of receipts, or need space for change this is not the wallet for you. It's really focused on the card slots to the exclusion of anything else.It seems durable. I have it filled with cards and have been using it for 3 months and it's still good as new. 5Slender, Not SkinnyI like my case a lot, just received it 9/6/16, accommodates my credit cards and drivers license very well. I'd have given it 5 stars, but the cards fit very tight in their individual slots, and since the interior of the case is not leather, but a vinyl imitation leather, there's not likely to be much "give" as it wears for a while. The slot on the outside is handy for what I call 'store discount cards'. I would never use that slot for cash, or debit/credit/charge cards, as there's no tab or other closure. The snaps fit snug, as they're supposed to, and I like that each side of the case can be opened independently. This case, when full, is not a back pocket case. It's too thick. But definitely slim enough to be inside a handbag, or an exterior handbag pocket that itself has a zipper or other closure. 4Really is a thick caseI wanted a wallet case to accompany my iPhone that would fit in my pocket but not be too bulky. I noted the reviews mentioning its bulk, but I figured I wouldn't be adding that many that it wouldn't be too bad. Unfortunately, just adding 2 cards made the wallet about an inch thicker than when it was empty. Those snaps really are ill placed. The quality was good, the leather was nice and the color was a nice deep purple as well. I think this would still be a good card case if you want something small to toss in a purse or other bag, but it was not good for just a pocket. The company was really great on the return as well; so I would recommend buying from this company. 2great credit card caseOk I need to revise my review of the credit case...A WARNING! ...The top slot in each section for your cards is not safe. I had one card slip out of the case and into my purse. I was not as lucky with my other card It slipped out and I lost it somewhere. It was necessary to cancel the card. I had not even used all the slots, so it was not over stuffed at all. It is a shame because it is the perfect size and nice quality...I love it...it does not take up much room at all in my purse. The color is exactly as pictured and the leather is nice quality. It is much easier to get to my cards. The snaps seem strong hopefully they will not become lose. Maybe a small strap to snap would put less stress on the snaps even so I am very pleased with this case. 5This is a great little card holder...If you carry enough cards to fill all the slots, this is not going to be a "slim" wallet. I did that and while it is a little "puffy" it is far from "fat". It is still thinner than my old tri-fold. It had a decorator belt loop thing and it was the croc-o leather stuff. It was small but this wallet does not have any chunky embellishments on the outside (and it had only 6 pockets to put cards and 1 "pull out" ID card holder). This wallet does not have a change compartment. It is simply to hold 9 cards, 1 driver's, and maybe a couple of bills. If you force more cards...it gets even thicker. But that is expected. The only way to make this really slim would be removing the middle section. Doing this removes the driver's and 3 cards section...not the result I would want/need. I like the snaps. They do add to the size too. Again, not a big deal for my needs. This wallet fits in my smallest purse that I use for church. When filled (with 1 card per slot ONLY) the size is: 1" (narrower toward the spine) thick. My older wallet was almost 2" because of the thick & embellished leather. The leather is very soft. It does not feel "cheap". I'm lowering my rating only because of the lack of color choice. I know Buxton does many more colors on their wallets. This one should be included in a nice rainbow of colors other than the usual pink, black, and red. How about blue...not navy, but a bright blue? Orange? A pretty green? It is marketed as a case for women yet it hangs onto the manly colors? (well, except pink, but still) The color choice did not deter me from this purchase nor did it compel me to return it.So if you are looking for a card keeper without a lot of "noise" (embellishments, multi-purpose pockets, etc), holds a nice amount of cards, this is a great little wallet. If you think it will remain 1/2" thick while filled with cards, this is not it. With its very simple/unembellished design this is a card holder that I would think a man could use as well. 4Does the job, but is NOT slimI picked this wallet for the number of card slots. I searched long and hard for a wallet but couldn t see myself carrying around a wallet with 10+ empty slots. This one is nice.. perfect number of card slots for me, but it puffs up once you ve got a card in each slot. I don t have money or extra cards in the hidden pockets, which I imagine would make it much worse, but it is what it is. Affordable and does the job. Wish it would just be a little slimmer. 3
