Customer Reviews

Great purchase! There are so many great reviews here that helped me decide on my purchase, so I only have a little bit of info to add. I ordered the Aqua and the Mint, as I could not tell from the images here or searched online which one I would prefer. I'm attaching 3 pictures that I hope will help future buyers who may have the same dilemma! They're both very pretty and bright! For the record, I really liked the mint in person but it didn't go well with my rain boots and it is a much darker hue than I hoped, and I LOVED the aqua, so my decision was easy. For size reference, I am 5'3, about 140lbs and I'm wearing the size Small here with a relatively thin sweater underneath. It's comfortable and I can cross my arms across my chest pretty well considering the fabric has little give, if any. I would only size up had I planned to wear a heavy fleece under this jacket, but I do not, and sizing up may cause me to lose some of the flattering shape.I love this jacket (finally, a hood with drawstrings on a rain jacket!) and my only complaint is the zipper, which sticks and seems very cheap/plasticky. It's not enough to make me return it, not by far. I've been looking for a great rain jacket for probably 4 years, and this is the best I have found!Update: 10/22/16: I've had this jacket now for a year and I'm changing my review from 4 to 5 stars. The questionable zipper has held up perfectly and the jacket itself is perfect; warm, breathable, not too heavy, and durable. I managed to snag it on a sharp piece of metal and put a tiny hole in it, so I put a very thin layer of clear nail polish over it and it's held just fine, not even noticeable. I plan to buy another, one to keep in my car, and I will probably get the purple or a slightly darker color this time because I'm a bit abusive towards my coats and there are a couple of small dirt marks on this one now. I wholeheartedly recommend this jacket!Update: July 2019. Still going strong, still love this jacket. I bought another for a change of pace for colors, but really, this one is still fine. I've bought other rain jackets (the pack it in the pocket kind) from Charles River for my husband and daughter, and thoe are great as well. I love this brand. 5Excellent quality, perfect for camping/hiking, looks goodI have tested this raincoat in two hiking trips in the last 4 months, and it has worked beautifully. It protects me from the wind (especially if I tighten the sleeves, zip up all the way, and put the hood on), and it stops the rain. I tested it in the rainy conditions while hiking in Peru (at the end of the wet season/ beginning of the dry season), and I can report back that it perfectly protects the clothes from getting wet, and keeps the warmth very well. Additionally, the pockets are very convenient, as they are big and they zip up all the way, so you can put anything you want to have on quick access there (like your phone) without being worried about losing it (or about it getting wet in the rain). Finally, it is also easy to clean: just wipe it with a wet cloth. So my conclusion: it is highly functional in the camping environment, very well made, and cute. Excellent quality and a great look. I am very glad I bought it, and I would highly recommend it. 5IN LOVEThis jacket is simply perfect! I live in Seattle and have been searching for a "girly" rain jacket for quit some time. This was exactly what I was looking for. The material is soft, flexible and very comfortable. The color is exactly as pictured! I wear a size 13/14 pant and L/XL t-shirts & sweaters. I was worried about the fit but to my surprise the XL fits perfect and I can comfortably wear a sweater underneath. So grateful to this company for making a wonderful product of good material and fashionable at the same time! 5This jacket is PerfectPurchased size Small jacket for daughter who is 5'2 /110 pounds. She likes clothes to hang a little lower over her 'bum', so this was perfect. The design is extra cute--she loved the blue/teal color. She was able to layer tops underneath and was still comfortable. When it was warmer weather, she wore it with a thin top and said it was never restrictive or hot. Great protective material and hood. Much needed in April rain showers. Also loved the fact the sleeves could be adjusted at the wrists. Well worth the money and I hope to buy myself one - soon!***in both photos she is wearing layers*** 5Great rain coat and excellent color! This is a lovely raincoat! The color is awesome. I bought the size Large Coral color with reflective strips to take on a cruise to Alaska and also to just have for monsoon season when I walk my dog. I'm an active woman, 5'6" in height, size 8/10 in clothes, 36B bra size, and 155lbs for reference. I also have long arms and that makes finding jackets that fit quite hard. This jacket fits very well and the cuffs hit just below my wrists. It's long enough to hit below my rear (yay) and the hood is great. It's not detachable, but that's fine with me, considering my last raincoat had zero hood. The pics don't do it justice. I love this jacket. Now, it's not going to be a warm jacket since there's only grey mesh inside and grommet holes under the arms, but I run hot so it's a benefit for me. It's not bulky with excessive room, but there is a little room for a heavier weight sweater should I need one. Haven't worn in rain yet, but the quality is top notch and I don't expect any issues and there are no holes. Seams are well done and the two way zipper is nice. Only downside to that is it's a little tricky to line up the two zippers, so just hold them tight together and it should be fine. Also, the under-flap attached to the zipper is on the opposite side I'm used to but that's more an adjustment for me to make, not a fault on the coat. I also like the zip up pockets that have zipper covers on them. :-) All in all, very pleased with this purchase and glad I spent a little more for a rain coat that is quality. Highly recommend it! 5Haven't checked for waterproofing, but fit is good!I am a pretty much straight up size 18W so I ordered the 2X. I wanted to be able to zip it, of course! As you can see from the pics, it is body hugging but I can zip it. And I cinched one of the sleeves, because I'm a true pear shape with dainty wrists and ankles. I like how it fits, and can't wait to try it as a band booster parent during the rainy band competitions! I would have really liked a dark green or vegas gold for our school colors, but oh well. At least the kids can find me! Lol It is slightly crunchy sounding, but if it's waterproof I DON'T CARE if it makes noise! I'm just glad I don't look like I'm wearing a tent! 5Plus Size Fits!*pictures not true to color. It is an actual bright coral. For those wondering I'm 5'5" and normally wear a 2XL shirt. I bought a 3XL coat in coral to make sure I had room and I still would recommend this sizing up! For women worried about upper arms fitting, mine are pretty big and it fits comfortably. You don't have the problem here where they size up everywhere else BUT the arms. I have full range of mobility. I'm also bigger busted (42 DD) and have wide hips(size 22 pant). The jacket isn't tight on either place and ends just past my butt. The coat fits perfectly and I even have some room to spare in case I wear a bulky sweater underneath! It's light with several spots to let air in to breathe. The fabric does make a crinkling sound BUT isn't thick and rubbery. There are a few features I found that no one mentioned! I love all of them but to be better informed they are:-zipped & fleece lined pockets-holes under the armpits for breathable air-a double front zipper-a cord around the bottom of the jacket to make it fit closer to your body-same type of clip on the hood 5This is a super cute waterproof jacketThis is a super cute waterproof jacket, but it was way to big. I'm 5'3" 106lbs and I ordered an x-small. 3Too small, plus other issues with fabric & colorI had a few issues with this item. First, and most importantly, according to the sizing and measurements, this jacket should have fit me. I'm 5'8" and usually fit a 24 or a 3X. 24/26 (as described) should easily fit. Yet, it was far too small. The sleeves were a little short, but mostly the shoulders and entire torso were small - almost too small to zip with only a thin t-shirt layer underneath. This is extremely disappointing when if anything a jacket should run a bit large.Second, the fabric, although it is soft, feels like a brushed rubber. It seems heavy and like it would make me sweat with mild activity. I guess I am used to other outdoors clothing companies who make waterproof treated lightweight fabrics that are more breathable. This one definitely is not. For the price, I guess it is to be expected, but I think if I could get it in the correct size, I would pay more for lightweight fabric. Also, the interior is lined with a looser mesh (presumably to help with breathability with the heavy fabric), but the mesh caught in the hook & eye closure of my necklace when removing the jacket, something I could tell would be an ongoing issue. Finally, the color (Aqua) is quite a bit darker/brighter than the photo. It's much more like an azure/sky blue/cyan/turquoise. It alone is not something I would have returned the jacket over, but I'm not sure I would have ordered it if I had seen the true color.Points two and three are moot for me, however, since I cannot wear a jacket that is too small. It's going back. 2This is the worst jacket ever.I am 5'10" size 14/16 with long arms and 47" hips. SIZE: I decided to follow the size chart to be able to zip the bottom of the jacket around my hips and the 2XL accomplished this. STYLE: The inner lining of the jacket is smaller than the outer fabric resulting in a super puffy look from trapped air. The outer fabric does not sit right against it's liner. The arms are decently long. The zipper is plastic and horrid. I tried zipping it 3 times in sucession and got hung up zipping and trying to seat the zipper housing. The adjustable hem is a joke, it isn't placed in an area to be able to tighten both sizes of the hem (ie: pinching both sides of the cord). This mean either the back of the jacket is cupped to your butt or your front (not pleasant). FABRIC: If you like wearing a crinkly waterproof plastic bag that is 1mi thick, this is the ticket. I'm surprised how THIN and fragile feeling the fabric is, which means ripping of the armpit will be reaching your hand out to grab something. Not durable. OVERALL: Absolutely worst jacket I have come across. I cannot fathom how it has so many great reviews! The fabric feels thin and weak, doesn't lay flat next to the liner. The zipper and adjustable hem are garbage. Positives are sizing and arm length. Returned. 1
