    BUY THIS ONE INSTEAD OF THE SIMILAR LEVIS VERSIONHusband loves it (he wears a 42 pants, we bought a 44 belt and the fit is perfect...the whole belt sizing thing perplexes me - I normally buy him the same size as the pants size he wears and we never had trouble with them not fitting although I made the mistake of reading all about belt sizing before buying this one so I was second guessing.) The belt seems well made, it's nice looking, it holds his pants up. Does what belts are supposed to do. His one observation, not really a complaint, is that the belt buckle is "jingly"...not annoyingly so or anything but sometimes you do hear it.Bought this to replace the Levi's casual belt I purchased less than a month ago - buckle came off of that one. This seems to be put together better. 4Buckle BrokeI had one of these Columbia belts from Kohls that lasted years. Finally after about 5 years, the buckle broke. I ordered (2) new identical belts on Amazon and received them in Early May. Two weeks ago, the first one broke. The second one is looking sketchy. It will probably fall apart sooner than later. It's a nice belt but a crappy design. I'm going to try and JB weld the thing back together, but I would say pass on this belt moving forward 1Beautiful belt!I love the look of a braided belt, but they never seem to stand up well to being buckled. This belt combines the braided look with a solid leather backing/reverse side and solid leather in the hole area, so it should hold up much better than an actual braided belt. All that and it looks even better than either a solid or a braided belt.Edit: I've had this belt for close to 6 months, now, and it's generally holding up well. The one thing I'm disappointed with is that the beautiful brown color is getting scraped through and revealing the grey underneath after repeatedly being slid through the buckle and hasp. I think if the underside of the hasp had a smoother edge, this wouldn't have happened nearly as quickly. I've also noticed crosswise cuts in some of the braiding. There's no way it could have been something I did, because there would have been more damage. Those cuts had to be there when the belt was made. To me these cuts are a potential weakness, but so far none have broken. Still love the belt, but downgrading it from 5 to 4 stars. 4High Quality, Nice Looking BeltVery nice belt. The fit and finish of the leather is top notch. I like the weathered texture as well. It looks almost like leather that has been dried out and sun damaged, but is also brand new if that makes any sense. It's in the texture only; the color is solid. Also of note, the belt doesn't move once tightened. Is seems to grip my pants, which I like because I don't have to overtighten it to make it stay on straight.I ordered a size 34 initially and it was a bit tight. Amazon exchanged it for a 36 no questions asked. Just a heads up, either I was wrong about my size or the belt runs a little small. I wear a size 33 waist in Dockers and this belt in a 34 put me on the 2nd to last hole. Bumping up to the 36 gained me two more holes which I prefer. 5DurableThe belt turns to make it double sided. I got the same belt 5 years ago as a gift. It was starting to show signs of wear so I bought this one. It's durable but will show signs of wear the more you wear it. Mine lasted for years. 5I expect to be buying more Columbia brand name now!For the price, I am thrilled.These are easily the same or better quality than the $20 belts name brand belts Dockers. I have a Columbia jacket, which is great quality, but I wasn't sure what to expect. I expect to be buying more Columbia brand name now!Note: the size is a bit smaller than expected, but still fits... and I need to lose some weight anyway! 5Good Casual to Business Casual BeltI purchased this belt in a store 4 years ago. I literally worn it out from wearing it day in and out. I did an internet search to find a replacement and here it was on Amazon. I have other belts, but this one has been my favorite because the 35mm is a perfect width to bridge the gap for both day to day casual and business casual (not dressy). I had other belts that started coming apart within the year. I read some reviews about the belt buckle pulling apart from the strap. I never had that problem. It is a reversible belt and I can see how it could be more suspect than a traditional belt. When first receiving the belt, I would suggest using a small screw driver to make sure the screws are tight and wear your belt in the proper hole to keep it from stressing the buckle/belt. You shouldn't be having to cinch up a belt up like a saddle strap. A properly fit belt will be snug not tight..it's not meant to be a girdle. Anyway, I recommend this belt because of my own long time experience with my previous one. 4Favorite BeltI purchased one of these over 2 years ago and have worn it practically every day since. This is my all time favorite belt. The buckle is a great gunmetal finish which works great for casual wear or work dress. The strap thickness is perfect- not one of those pencil thin or extremely wide bands. It reverses between the two primary belt colors - black and brown - I switch it up depending on what I wear to work. All around it's exactly what I need/want.My old one is still in great condition aside from the fact that I stepped on it one day bending the buckle pin 90* but I was able to bend it back. No issues as others have had with it - material looks like it did when I got it and buckle functions like new.The 32 was not available when I purchased the second one so I had to get a 34. The 34 is one hole too short for my 32" waist so don't buy a size up unless you have a really good punch that could make it through 1/4" of tough material. 5Sharp looking but deteriorates over timeBeautiful belt. Worn for 4 years now. Sorry to say the laminated leather surface will wear off over time. Wish it was all leather. But I guess if it was it wouldn't be reversible. I never used the reverse side. I prefer the brown textured surface.If Columbia made a similar design that was not reversible and longer lasting it would merit a 5 star rating. The wear and tear is located near the 5 holes. White fabric is now exposed. I can only wear this belt when my shirt is not tucked it. Will eventually toss it out since I don't care for the reversible black finish. I have plenty of black casual and black dress belts. 2Belt peels after 6 monthsI bought this belt in may to be my everyday belt and it has started to fall apart. It showed signs on wear after a few months but less than 6 months in the top layer is pealing off 1
