Customer Reviews

I would not recommend this beltOrdered this belt in late August. Didn't wear it for about a month. Wore if a few days in my work jeans which I left on the floor of the closet (not as 'slobby' as it sounds). Picked them up a couple days later only to find the buckle broken (I assume it was stepped on?). The vertical bar that holds the two prongs had fallen out and there was no way to re-attach it. I had never seen a belt buckle with such construction. I wanted to use this as a work belt, but it has obvious durability issues. I would not recommend this belt. Unfortunately, it was passed the Amazon return date.... 1One StarI bought this for my husband for Christmas. It's now broken. Not high quality. 1Not a Work or Heavy Duty beltEdit** a week in and already I have fraying of the leather very cheap product I only use it to hold up my pants*** Main reason I bought this was thinking it would be a heavy duty belt. It is the lowest leather quality available. I just received it and can see the cracks in the leather. I am looking to find some kind of guarantee, because I know this belt will not last a year. I will only use it to hold up my pants but since I am an electrician and work around various materials and elements I can already tell it wont last long. This is made from genuine leather. For a tough belt look for full grain or top grain leather, which I thought this belt might be made of. 1Fantastic Belt!I originally found this belt at KMart, which I would later find out wasn't restocking this belt. I was looking on Amazon for a smaller variant, and was quite pleased and surprised to find Amazon had the belt. What I love about this belt is the durable genuine leather, the abundant amount of notches, and the double prong (more support than a single prong in the middle). I've tried other belts, and yes they work, but this belt is worth every penny. 5Very nice belt from the '70s.This is a very nice looking casual belt that seems to be made of quality leather with nice hardware. The double row design reminds me of a belt or two I had 40 years ago (in my semi-hippie days). It is just a bit soft or pliable, which is good and bad; no serious breakin period but then it tends to immediately start to stretch. That's why I took off one star. An old trick I learned years ago though can solve that. Just take a belt like this, soak well in warm water, and allow to dry naturally. It will shrink a notch or two. Then just saddle soap or Lexal it to re-condition. 4Appears to be great quality, fit is on par for standard belt sizingLove the holes all the way around. Leather seems strong and not likely to crack like my old dress belt that I replaced with this more "work belt" look belt. I ordered a 36" belt for 32"-34" pants size and it fits perfect on the 5th notch or so from the end. Enough tail to tuck into next belt loop but not too much where it's flapping around. Recommend buying one size larger than your pants size per usual belt buying standards. I will update this review with durability as time goes on. 5Unbelievably durable! Not overly impressed, but you get what you pay for. Edit...approx 1 year later...This belt reminds me more of rubber than leather. The black has worn off in several places leaving a chocolate brown color behind. But it is still holding together, no separation or cracking of the leather. No ripping out of the stitching. I have given it another star because it has held up so well over time.***UPDATE***July 31, 2018, I still wear this belt every day. The black color has changed nearly uniformly to chocolate brown, but there isn't so much as a missing stitch. I have NEVER had a belt hold up like this one has. 5Danbury Double Prong BeltFirst of all, I really wasn't looking for a "work" belt at all. I was looking for a belt for jeans, a little wider, thicker and better proportioned for jeans than a dress belt. I am delighted at this one. I like the slot-shaped buckle prong holes and the buckle is much nicer-looking than the photo shows. The belt is sturdy, nicely made and is of matte, natural leather and very dark brown. The leather is not polished and has no gloss. The leather has been closely finished; however, and shows no fuzzy or frayed edges or rough spots. The belt has four rows of dark brown stitching, not very visible when you wear it, but attractive if you notice. If I wanted a similar belt in black, I would immediately buy this same item again in black. A really quality product! 5Great product at a great price!Exactly as described but even better than I thought!!! At this price I wasn't too sure what I would get, but this product is durable, nice and heavy like a good belt should be but not too heavy to weigh you down and my husband is extremely pleased!!!! I would definitely buy this product over and over and it's true to size!!! Definitely recommend! 5I work heavy construction and it is probably the strongest most comfortable and well made belt I have usedThe sizes are a little wacky I wear 34" waist pants so I first bought a 34" belt, I couldn't even get the buckle and the belt to touch. I returned it with no problem and ordered the 36" and 38". Again the 36" was way too small. The 38" was slightly too large when I buckle it I have 10 or sometimes 11 holes open till I get to the buckle. Not a problem for me. Now as for the quality, I work heavy construction and it is probably the strongest most comfortable and well made belt I have used. I have used it every day for about three months and the holes are not stretching and the leather looks almost brand new. I am going to buy another one because of the super high quality. I am impressed. The sizing was a very small issue especially when you consider free shipping and returns. 5
