    These are made of durable material, but have no ...These are made of durable material, but have no "give" or "stretch." I ordered these as well as "Mens Suspenders Wide Adjustable and Elastic Braces Y Shape with Very Strong Clips - Heavy Duty (Black)" for my husband, and he prefers the others to this Dickies product. 3So far, so good (and now better)So far, so good. They are certainly heavy-duty, with very sturdy clips for the trousers. And, they are surprisingly comfortable. I'm holding out for my final verdict after wearing them in a hot and humid environment. I'm not looking forward to the possible stains on my shirts as others have warned of.12/02/16- Here is an update: I still wear these daily. I frequently wear these on top of my t-shirt and under my outer shirt. The sturdy metal clips can drill tiny holes in your shirt on long drives. Other than that, I still endorse them. I had no staining issues and they remain comfortable. I have purchased a second pair. 5Only nit I have to pick is I'd like them to have the ability to stretch a littleThese seem very strong and the clips are wide and grip really well. Only nit I have to pick is I'd like them to have the ability to stretch a little. These are made from ballistic nylon, and they don't have any give at all. So they have to be adjusted just right, and when you move around these things get slack in them, where as other (stretchy) suspenders would continue to hug your body. 4Elastic showing signs of wear.The material used in the front part of these suspenders is not elastic.The elastic part is from the X to the rear clips. I have noted it showing some signs of wear and fatigue. 3industrial suspenders.I expected these suspenders to be made better since they were labeled industrial and cost more than the average. The elastic sections are the short rear pieces. One side stretched out and is "baggy" looking and the elastic is broken. This happened the Second time I used them. I've had many suspenders that were a lot cheaper and lasted along time.. I wouldn't recommend these. Sorry , disappointed. 2 You will not lose your pants with these! Solid straps, tight hardware, tough clips!When hubby was complaining about suspenders slipping or breaking, he said, "I need some heavy duty suspenders, that will not break at the clip and will hold and not slip."I said, let me look on Amazon, and I did a search for Heavy Duty. The name that came up is Dickies, popular work clothes and well-made.The leatheris durable, hardware tough, and the grip stays intact, does not slip. These adjust well, so, be comfortable. Adjust as needed. The strap is tough also, doesn't have a lot of stretch, but the straps are tough. . 5Extra rigid, no elasticity except for a very small section in the rear. Go with the Carhartt instead.Wish I'd returned these while I still could. Generally, I buy color variations of these Carhartt suspenders. But, I needed some delivered fast and the Carhartt wouldn't make it in time. Took a chance on these, and even when extended out to the max size, I can barely move because these fit so tightly. Normally as long as they go over my shoulders, there's no problem. Not these! These have the texture and feel of the material that they use in the shoulder straps for laptop carrying cases. (And I don't mean the padded section either!) Absolutely no elasticity aside from a small length of the suspender, and only in the rear section.Wouldn't recommend these as the elastic quality of most suspenders allow you to move around, lean down, etc. while maintaining a good tight fit. With these, I'm worried that they'll tear my pants or shorts if I move too much one way or the other.They are heavy duty feeling, and seem very rugged. Maybe I'll just throw them in the trunk in case I need a tow rope in the future... 1Heavy duty suspendersIt has been years since I have owned a pair of suspenders, but recently I had a need for a very robust set that would handle some demanding conditions. That being said, I picked this set based on the other reviews and the Dickies description. This pair is right on target for my task and is built very well. Heavy duty oversized clips and riveted leather makes this a great pair of suspenders. One caveat, these do seem as if for a taller person they would be a bit small. I am a modest 5'7" and they have to be a little more than half-way adjusted to fit/work in the right place. Other than that these are a great choice, a huge bang for the buck! 5clasps should clamp much better so they do not come looseThe only issue I have with these suspenders is that the clasps do not hold well.I have even taken to wearing a belt, then attaching the suspenders over the belt loops in my pants, to give the maximum thickness for the clasps (belt loops plus belt, plus pants material).Despite this, the clasps very often come loose. Whenever this happens, it is nearly always one of the rear clasps -- I don't remember the front ones ever coming loose.Other than this issue, the suspenders are fine, and still holding up after nearly a year. The edges of the elastic has started to deteriorate and ripple in a few places, but this does not affect the functioning of the suspenders.Having them come loose, however, does -- hence the 3 stars. 3What I don't like is the elastic is only on the back two ...Heavy duty for sure. What I don't like is the elastic is only on the back two lengths, not the lengths over the shoulder. What that causes is a jerking pull or tug at the shoulders as you walk where suspenders with the over the shoulder lengths elasticized also the pull is even and slight. 3
