    Great for a zombie costume (but it'll work for the Disney Princess thing too:)I have to confess, when my 12 year old daughter told me she wanted to be a Zombie Disney Princess for Halloween, I did not jump for joy. Figured I'd end up scouring thrift stores and wouldn't be able to come up with anything that would work. Thanks to Amazon I had a solution in under 5 minutes!This was too good to pass up -- $13 for an actual Disney Princess costume that would fit a 12 year old. (It said in the sizing information this costume in Large would fit 12-14 year olds). Pretty weird, since most child's Large sizes are not nearly big enough for kids that age. Plus the reviews were all over the place on size and quality ... but I took a chance and ordered anyway. We got it two days later (Thanks Amazon Prime!) and immediately had my 5'1" daughter try it on. It fit great, wasn't too tight or loose and was floor length on her. So it would easily fit a taller girl. (Guessing most of the bad reviews came from people who didn't read the sizing info.)It seemed pretty well put together to me. No, it does not look as beautiful as the picture on Amazon. But then again do costumes ever look as good as the photos? Was definitely impressed with the hoop skirt! I never had a costume this nice when I was a kid. Felt sort of guilty since we planned to tear it up for a zombie costume. But for $13 we couldn't pass up a deal like this! We did remove the ribbon at the top because it was a little orangey and didn't match the rest of the dress.Then we went to work tearing it up. The fabric and seams would not rip -- I had to cut every tear with scissors. And we made a lot of cuts! Not usually a fan of yellow but it showed the fake blood beautifully and as every mom of a brunette girl knows -- Belle is the only Disney Princess with brown hair.My daughter has already won a costume contest while wearing it for four hours at a Halloween Party where she was very active. It is holding together beautfully -- no rips or tears that we didn't make ourselves. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a fun zombie costume or nicer Belle costume. 4This is a beautiful dress and my daughter was so excited about itThis is a beautiful dress and my daughter was so excited about it. She didn't even wear it for 30 minutes before the seams started ripping out and the material started to shred. No she was not running around playing rough in it, quite the opposite she was floating around acting dainty and holding the bottom up so she didn't step on the dress. When getting ready for the adventure I started looking for Princess Belle costumes and they were either too expensive or too ugly. I went with this one because of the reviews and it looked cute in the pictures. Well, my daughter felt a real princess in this dress. We went to Bibidi Bobidi for a princess make-over and saved about $70 for not buying the dress there. Everyone had to compliment her dress, was cuter than any other dress they had there. My daughter was such a beautiful and proud princess. I know she will never forget that experience. The dress was PERFECT! She is 7 but wears 10 so Medium is the right size for 10 - 12. 100% Recommended! 5Will Never buy this againI was so disappointed with this costume!! We received he package and my 4.5 yr old daughter was so excited but when we opened the package the dress was completely unruffled and way too large :/ 1Cute, but won't last a minute!So cute, from afar, but sadly the workmanship didn't hold up an hour! My daughter LOVES princess dresses, and she plays the part (she's not rough in them, doesn't wear them outside, etc). When this arrived she couldn't wait to put it on, but soon I was shaking my head and telling her she had to take it off. Despite the cute color, and nice fabric it's made of, the stitching started coming undone in the skirt portion almost immediately. Within an hour I was sure it would have to be returned, since at least two seams had blown.I had read other reviews, which were mixed, and some had eluded to this same issue, but I was hoping they were a fluke. Unfortunately it seems more like the norm. We had to pack it up and ship it back the next day, despite the pleas from my three year old to 'just sew it back up' (here and there and EVERYWHERE). I replaced it with the authentic disney version, for a few dollars more, it arrived with a lot more glitter, and so far NO HOLES! 1It was nice for 10 minutes. Seriously.Okay, so I know I shouldn't expect much for the price. Let's talk fit first, because that's where I can be kindest. I ordered a small (4-6) for my daughter who wears a size 6. I was afraid it would be a little small, but it's huge. It's far too wide around the shoulders, but I fixed that easily with a safety pin and plan on adding some extra elastic in the back to hold it in place. It's also pretty long. She needs to hold it up when she walks.Now for the quality. We gave this to our daughter for her birthday. All she wanted was a Belle dress. She was so excited when I put it on her that she declared it the "best birthday ever!". She wore this dress for 10 minutes, and I saw a couple of seams in the skirt separating. On closer inspection, all the seams are fraying and tearing apart. I had her take it off, and now I either need to get some fray stop from the fabric store and try to restitch the seams (all of them, and there are quite a few) or I need to remake the whole skirt (in which case I could just sew a whole new dress, which is maybe what I should have done to begin with). My birthday girl ended the day sobbing about the state of her princess dress. I know I shouldn't expect much for the price, but this was ridiculous.****Don't buy this dress!!**** 1Cute but hugeI was worried when I ordered this that it might be too large and it was, they really need to post the actual sizes because what we ordered is HUGE on my daughter so much so that we are going to have to get something else for her to wear for Halloween.Sm - 4-6Md - 8-10Lg - 12-14 4disappointingThe shipping was prompt and it arrived early which was a nice surprise right after the holiday. However, the quality of the materials used and the workmanship really leaves a lot to be desired. The dress material is a bright gold, not soft yellow, out of poor quality material and very wrinkled from the package. I ironed it on low over a cloth or the material would have burned right on through. The seams for the flounce were unfinished and poorly done so that the dress drags on the floor. So I hand-did gathers before giving it to my granddaughter for her birthday. She was delighted with it and took it home although I saw that I needed to shorten the gathers further to stop it from dragging on the floor. Well two days later, it is back with rips under the arms on the seam (it is not too small, in fact it runs big as other reviewers have commented) and a major rip in the skirt seam that essentially is the material coming unraveled at the seam. I honestly don't know how I can fix that and I am an experienced sewer. I am disappointed to say the least. 3She is 9 and the length was perfect! I only gave it 4 because the fabric ...Did the Job...For the money it worked for Seeing Beauty and the Beast and she still has some use of it. It fit my daughter okay and worked for our Halloween trick or treating. I will note that after wearing it one time, at least two seams at the bottom of the dress split (ie, not a very sturdy or well-sewn dress - fabric is definitely cheap). Also, the top part of the dress (bodice area) has way too much glitter! It seemed to get on everything---In my daughter's hair, on her face, and all over furniture.Overall, I myself was not a big fan of this dress because of the low quality, but my daughter enjoyed wearing it for Halloween-she also loved the way the skirt belled out (it has a hoop skirt underneath so it really looks like a princess dress). Since it's really only for one day, I was glad to find something reasonably priced, and I guess poor quality is just part of the package. 3
