But the only costumes in stock were Smalls and we needed it for his school play. I took a chance and ordered a small, hoping it would be workable. It's a good thing I got Small because it was actually a little bit big on him! He is tall and thin.The pants material is slightly thin, but I put light colored boxers beneath and no one could see them, even under stage lighting. It's not a super high quality costume, of course not for the price! I have an 11 year old who wears a 10-12 and a 9 year old who wears size 8. I bought the medium and they fit both girls. A tiny but snug on the older girl and a little loose on the younger one. The fabric is thin, but for the price I expected that. Both outfits survived being taken off and put back on over two nights and I think they could probably wear them a few more times before something ripped. Seller didn't honor request to return the outfit. 1Great buy for what it was needed for.My son was in a Christmas play, and this outfit made it perfect! I would suggest using a t - shirt underneath, as well as light colored sweat pants. my boy is very skinny and this worked well. The material was a bit thin and being that time of year he would have froze. It states no ironing, but the pants did need it, so I placed a very lightly damp towel over the legs and ironed on a low temp, as well as the shirt and hat. Do not iron on it directly or it would melt. The belt though did not stay on well, and we didn't use it, the velcro was not long enough for it too stay on, and safety pins were just a bad idea. The little elf shoes fit right over his tennis shoes for his performance, and held up very well. I would purchase this again if needed. 4
