Customer Reviews

Potty Training Is a Pain - But Boy It Is Worth The Gain! These are training undies made of cotton for toddler boys learning to become potty trained. They have an extra layer of material in the crotch area to absorb urine and poop. However, they are not a replacement for diapers so they will leak if the child has an accident. They start out a larger size and then shrink to the size ordered after washing in hot water or drying them in the dryer. We have been using these for over 3 weeks now with my son as we have been working on potty training. We have not gone back to diapers even at night time (except for when we use swim diapers in the pool). I believe that it helps him realize when he has had an accident because they don't wick away the moisture. He can pull them down easily and can pull them up most of the time. I like that these aren't white because they don't show stains as easily. I also like that I can sanitize them on high heat and throw them in the dryer. I bought several sizes of these because I like them so much and figure we will be using these for the next several months. I recommend these to other parents. 5UsefulI absolutely loved the concept of these. They were adorable on my son, and I was so hopeful it would help bridge the gap between diapers/pullups and big boy pants with potty training. Of course we moved a few times during the year it took us to potty train, and my boy outgrew them. I still recommend them to other parents though, and am debating holding onto them for our next child. 4Good for trainingI bought a pack of 2t and 3t because my son is between sizes. The 2t are tight around his legs but not around his waist, he hasn't tried the 3t but I assume this won't be the case. They are nice and I like the extra padding for training before actual underwear. When they go it will still get them wet, but for us that helps make him aware of when he goes. If washing underwear and pants after every accident bothers you these are not for you. I'd recommend diapers or pull-ups 5Good alternative to pull-ups.These are a good alternative between pull-ups and underwear. If they have an accident they will still be wet and able to feel it unlike pull-ups that pull the moisture away from them. But they have a little added protection from smaller accidents to keep you from having to clean up huge messes. If they have a huge accident, it will still go straight through it, so its still good for learning. It makes my life easier when I am away from home and I don't want to resort to putting on a pull-up. I wish I had found these when my daughter was potty training but I am so glad I found them for my son who is potty training now. I definitely recommend these unless you are looking for something waterproof, then just stick with pull-ups. 4Just what we needed. We were looking for size 18 months for our son, unfortunately the stores we checked did not have that size. Smallest size we kept finding were 2T. Our son is in the process of learning to tell us he needs to us the restroom and these work great for that. They are a little high but that's fine since it helps him push them down. They are thick enough to hold a small accident without dripping. But if the accident happens to be a bit longer the underwear will drip and some will get on the floor. I do not mind because its a lot better than my son having an accident naked or commando ( I am a SAHM and after a week and a half of that I was loosing my mind).I let him wear these on the sofa with a reusable bed underpad and when he's had an accident my sofa has stayed dry and clean. I do have to say that if you are holding them or cuddling with them you will get wet too. I've had to change my clothes a few times because his accidents get on my clothes too. I sometimes use Thirsty insert pads with them and they make the underwear more bulky but it helps with containment if you are expecting a big accident.I hope this review helps someone out there. Potty training can be stressful and any type of wanted reviews, tips, or advice can be useful. 5Underwear, not Training PantsI would call these boys underwear, not training pants. Training pants would absorb urine. These do not. The urine runs right through. 1Soft and DurableSo glad to have moved into the training stage. The disposables were sending mixed messages. So I opted for these. They are not as thick as I would have liked, but I know that they are much more comfy than pampers and pull ups. They look great after 2 months of washer/dryer cycles. Glad I found these. Great for transitioning into real undies. 5Super absorbant and fit my small-framed son perfectlyMy son is a small 18 month old. They seemed massive out of the package. Upon wearing, they fit and held a large amount of pee. I would recommend the plastic covers if you are new to potty training. As a little leaked out. But, I'm impressed with the absorbency. I haven't washed them multiple times, so hopefully they hold up to ths test of time. Would highly recommend. 5Must have for potty trainingI was looking for alternatives to training pants when I started potty training my son and discovered these.Unlike training pants, these cotton undies make sure that your LO feels wet and picks up the idea of potty training. But if you are looking for something that will hold a pee, this definitely doesn t qualify. They might just hold small leaks. My son is on the smaller physique and these fit him ok. He was 20 months and the 2T was a good fit 5Great for potty trainingThese were recommended by my sis in law. She said they are absorbent enough so that they don't leak too bad w minor accidents, but the key is that it allows them to feel it being wet and that should trigger them to know that they should only go on the toilet. So while that maybe worked for other kids, mine couldn't have cared less. Regardless, I did appreciate having these during potty training and my son liked them. I thought they were the perfect transition. 5
