Customer Reviews

... clunky and heavy on the hoof - my horse hated it - too big too spooky forAwkward - clunky and heavy on the hoof - my horse hated it - too big too spooky for him 2Could be betterIt has a lot of room for soaking but of you have a horse that doesn't like to stand still it's not so good. I found the Davis soaking boots to be more convenient to have your horses stand in without having to stand right there to keep their hoof in it. 3Too Shallow - such a disappointmentI am so frustrated and disappointed. This is such a truly great product EXCEPT THAT IT HAS SUCH A DEEP V CUT OUT it is impossible for a "high water level to heal with more coverage" as advertised right on the box - save your money and use a rubber feed tray because you can't even get that high a water level with this soaking boot. I have a small Arabian and it barely allows water to the coronet band. We are fighting a mechanical laminitis and need an ice water slurry to the top of her pastern. I would not have bought this boot except for the false advertising of "high water level" - it isn't a high water level for anything bigger than a small pony. It is so perfect in every other way. I don't understand why they ruin it with such a deep V that you might as well use a rubber feed tray. If someone wants less depth, just use less water - don't ruin the versatility of the boot by cutting two thirds of the way down to the bottom. I want my money back but what I want even more is this exact same product without the ridiculously deep V - it is so well thought out and designed in every other way. 1Received Wrong ItemNot the item that is shown here, I received a bag of treats, not a soaking boot! 1I love this bootI love this boot! I have a mare that hates to soak and takes joy in knocking over buckets....she sucks it up in this though! She moved in the cross ties and it just clomped with her - she gave up after that and just stands. They padding inside is nice, since they're sore, it cleans easy and it dries quickly (I flip it over so it dries out inside as well) and I'm pretty sure you could put a draft foot in there. Great product! 5This was a waste of moneyThis was a waste of money. I ended up going back to making my own boot from catfood bag and duct tape. You have to stand with the horse. I might as well put her foot in a bucket 1Wanted to love this....I really wanted to love this boot. I did a lot of research prior to purchasing and it seemed to have the quality/design I was looking for. The material is sturdy - I was happy with that. But the base pad was the size of an elephants foot and super bulky, the velcro seam was too low and the water leaked out, It was very hard to achieve a good seal and if my horse picked his foot up and put it back down the sheer weight of it would shift the base forward so when he put it back down, it was on side, or front spilling out all the contents - CleanTrax which isn't cheap! I didn't want to give up so I tried it without the pad and unfortunately I still disappointed. Too bulky, seam still too low and boot didn't come up high enough to try to stabilize it.I ended up sending it back but hope they work on the design and I'd be up for trying again. 1I love this boot tooI love this boot too. It's easy to use, it's very forgiving. It's big enough for a warmblood with a shoe or without a shoe. I've used one off and on for a couple years, in fact used it so much we wore it out. My horse quickly adapted to using it. It works best if you can have a tub of hay in front of the horse to keep it occupied. Thanks Giddyap Girls for a great boot. 5
