Size up one, seems to run short in lengthOverall please with product quality and material. Easy enough to get on and off and grips well on the ice, so I feel confident about its ability to prevent falls. Sizing on this product seems to run short in the LENGTH of the item, and though I made my selection according to the size charts, the cleats I bought for my kids and self are a little too short in length. Am going to have to return and replace. I've included a photo of how the size M fits on my women's US 9 boots, which have a raised heel. There's just not enough heel coverage, and as I walk on ice the heel cleats aren't able to function properly because of placement over the space between my instep and the heel of the boot. Basically, the back cleats don't touch ground. 4Horrible experience!!!!I purchased the HoFire Cleats for a hike down the Grand Canyon. The first mile to a mile and a half had compacted snow and small sections of ice on it. Cleats were recommended by US park officials. Within the first 1/2 mile one of the cleats had slipped off of my boot. I have a size 10 foot and I purchased the large cleats. when I tried to put the cleat back on my boot I found that all but one of the spikes had fallen off. When I inspected the second cleat which hadn't slipped off of my boot all but one cleat was missing. I had to slip and slide the remainder of the snow covered area of the trail. Coming back up the trail the next day I could not use the product. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU ARE DOING ANY TYPE OF BACKPACKING OR DOWNHILL/UPHILL HIKING. They may work for emptying the garbage at your house, if there is ice outside but be afraid. Be very afraid. 1Northern wintersI float in between women s shoe size 7.5-8 wide.Ordered a Medium.Delivery was super fast.Easy to slide on/off.They fit my shoe perfectly, so I am unsure if I should have gone up a size so the cleats are at my heel. 5These cleats have given me much more confidence walking to work on snow/ice covered side walks !These cleats have given me confidence in walking to work on snow/ice covered sidewalks. I lost 4 of the round pieces out of one cleat I believe after walking in ice. You can purchase replacement pieces. The actual cleat itself made of black rubber can freeze and slide off shoe.I would purchase again. I think they should include replacement metal/plastic pieces. It seems after about 3 or 4th wear they start loosing little metal cleat pieces. Reasonable 5.99 to order 15 replacement pieces.The cleats are not easy to get on and off so I would NOT recommend to anyone with balance issues. Once you enter a building you have to take the shoe cleat off as to not scratch floors. You really have to sit down and properly pull them over your shoes. 4Kept me upright during an icy run!When you have an early-February marathon on your running schedule, training just can't stop during December and January. They take some getting used to (especially the sound of them crunching on the ice and pavement) but I never once felt unsteady during my runs over icy roads and sidewalks. Easy to put on, easy to take off, and they don't seem to damage my shoes at all. 5Protection= bones.After my wife fell on the iced driveway last winter and broke her arm we had to do something. To avoid another injury in which caused much pain and discomfort we searched for a remedy. We decided not to venture into the winter snowed driveway without some kind of protection. I searched the internet and found a remedy for out problem. It was a great invention called Ice Cleats. They just slip on over your footwear and you are off. I must warn you all with this one warning. DO NOT WEAR THEM ON WOOD FLOORS INSIDE! Ha. 5Traction was also good in patches of iceSo far I've worn them walking my usual 4 miles on relatively level terrain in about 2" of snow. Traction was also good in patches of ice. Easy to put on over my (New Balance high tops) hiking boots, they stayed put. Easy off too. I've also used them taking trash to a dumpster that sits on an ice-covered parking lot. Good traction there as well. I'm pleased with this product and feel they perform as advertised. 5garbageupdate , apparently the ones I bought at the discount store are far better, I tried these for the first time today, snow blowing the driveway, when I was done and took them off I noticed half the spikes were gone. complete junk, and I still don't know why the ones I got were red when everyone else said they got yellow 1Have had for a couple of weeks have lost 5 ...Have had for a couple of weeks have lost 5 studs on bottom, not very durable, will have to buy from someone else because where I live need for 4 months out of year. 1Differently worth the moneyThis is the best 8.00 I have ever spent. With the current weather here in Pittsburgh, we will have snow, ice, snow. I put these ice cleats on a pair of sneakers and shoveled my icy snowy slopped driveway with out falling or slipping once. These are great just wish I would have bought them sooner. 5
