    This tan belt was the second of two belts I ...This tan belt was the second of two belts I purchased. The grooves are 1" farther from the tip of the belt on the tan one than the black one. You have to make it about an inch tighter in order to get the ratchet to grab. Customer service said that you should measure it twice to be sure of the size. Well unless I'm missing something, two belts that are exactly the same length should fit the same, period. Two 34" belts should fit the same, period. If not, then it's either a design issue, or a quality control/workmanship issue. 1These belts are just awesome you can trim them when you lose weight you ...These belts are just awesome you can trim them when you lose weight you can get larger sizes then you really need. The only issue I have is I have to wrap about two levels of electrical tape on the edge so that when I stick it into the clamp it actually holds properly. I do not like the Buckle itself is very rough on the backside if you're a bigger person and if you push your stomach weight into it it will tear your stomach up if you're not careful I wish they could do something about that but I have no idea what they actually could do. I am 6 foot 5 and 375 pounds so I probably put more pressure on that belt buckle than most normal people. That is also probably why I need to use the electrical tape is when you clap those little bit teeth into the belt itself to hold it in place I'm putting a lot of pressure and that it helps to hold it snug in place so that it doesn't come off on the end. 5poor quality belt/buckle interfaceThis is a five-star product that misses. The original ratchet belts tended to have the ratchet insert rip out of the belt after 2-3 years of use. These belts don't do that. What they do is rip out of the buckle. In my case, while I was in public, in front of many witnesses. I've had that happen twice: once, after trimming the belt to account for weight loss, then continuing to use the belt even after regaining some of the weight, which was my fault. The second time it happened the belt was sized for my waist as it is now, and it wasn't cinched too tightly. 2No. It's not.I thought this belt would be real leather. I should have read the details. Apparently it has a "synthetic coating." I am now noticing the outer layer peeling off in places. This looks extremely cheap Mission Belt Co. should be embarrassed. I'll give 3 stars because I like the ratcheting feature. I would purchase an actual leather option if one is available in the future. 3Love hate relationshipWhen it was new, it was great. But nown2 months later it s goingninthe trash. This is the second beltntonhave the same issue, I assumed the first was a flaw and bought another.When you pull the belt to get a nice tight fight it keeps your pants right where you want. Issue is, the leather rips and the buckle comes off with it! First time I was still home and put my old belt on. The second belt did it while I was out and inscrambled tonfind scissors to make a clean edge in the leather an put the buckle back on.Maybe the nylon one is more durable, but the b st I can tell it s cheap leather. 1Doesn't fit the buckle!!I bought a new belt strap to fit my existing Mission belt buckle but it doesn't even fit. It's too wide for the buckle so it won't thread through and tighten up. So, if Mission changes their buckle and strap dimensions but don't indicate which buckle each strap fits, don't bother wasting your money. Just get a whole new belt or change brands.EDIT: I just figured out that there are two buckle sizes; 35mm and 40mm. My old belt was 35mm and the new strap was 40mm. MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE CORRECT STRAP FOR YOUR BUCKLE! :-) 1GREATEST. BELT. EVER.Where to begin.....? I guess I'll jump in the Delorean and go back to April 26, 2013 to when I, and millions of others, first discovered Mission Belts.I was watching Shark Tank, as I always do, and a pitch of a new (to me anyway) type of belt came on. It was the guys from Mission Belt and I was immediately intrigued.....and by intrigued what I really mean is that I had to have one! Disappointment quickly set in as I messaged Mission on Facebook to ask if their buckles were nickel free ( I am allergic to nickel ) and I was told "Yes". Fast forward to 12/2018 and on a whim, I decided to reach out again to see if the buckle material had changed. This time, I was told that while there might be nickel in the buckle that I should try the colored buckles as they paint may just block the nickel in them. That was good enough for me. I ordered one belt and two buckles and in two days, they where here. I put them on and trimmed down the belt to fit me (which I'll get to in a second) and wore my new belt for a day. To my relief, no reaction from the buckle! It's now March 14th, 2019 and I have worn the belt and buckle everyday with zero skin reaction! Now, a few notes:1) The quality of the leather belt is AMAZING.2) I have lost 100 pounds over the last year and am still losing weight. The ability to trim the belt to size has been a huge perk. No longer do I need to buy a new belt that fits for every 5-10 pounds I drop.3) The buckle is VERY well made and they look incredible! I will say that you should definitely take the 2 minutes and read the instructions on how to work the belt. When I got mine I thought "how hard can it be" and just trimmed the belt, put the buckle on, and put my new Mission Belt on. while I was driving, nature called and by the time I arrived at my destination was REALLY calling. I ran to the mens room and, wouldn't you know it, I couldn't figure out how to get the buckle un-done *"D'OH!"*. So there I was, in the mens room frantically looking up the how to video on YouTube......I found it and un-fastened my buckle without a moment to spare =)I can't say enough great things about nor recommend enough, Mission Belts. I'd like to buy three or four more but unfortunately am unable to swing it financially ( I'll spare you the details =) ) 5Inaccurate ColorIt's a fine belt, but just like the Chocolate brown, the color is GROSSLY misrepresented on the site. The Mocha brown is not as dark as it appears by a long shot, and the Chocolate is like a reddish color, even the stitching, which again is NOT SHOWN in the picture.You guys need to take some other pics, maybe against some palette choices so we know what this stuff looks like at home.I tried to pair a brown belt with some shoes I bought, and I've tried two browns from this brand and I've given up. I was about to try the "dark brown" option, but it looks basically BLACK in the photo so I dunno.For reference, I'm using an IPS display, and I've checked it against my wife's Macbook Pro 13" display as well, which I think is IPS.FIX YOUR PICS! 3The leather on the new one has a pebbled or grainy appearance whereas the original had a nice, smooth finish and seemed to be aAfter almost 2 years use of my first Mission belt it was time to replace it due to wear and a couple areas where stitching was coming loose. I was impressed with the original so I ordered the replacement belt and when it arrived I immediately noticed a difference. The leather on the new one has a pebbled or grainy appearance whereas the original had a nice, smooth finish and seemed to be a thicker, higher quality leather. The new one has "Made in China" stamped on the inside and the original did not. The new one also does not have that noticeable ratcheting sound as you tighten the belt which leaves you wondering if it's secure or not. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great belt system but they seem to have cheapened things to maintain or increase profit margins- this is a Shark tank product, after all. 3Well Done Mission!I've been wearing this black Mission 35mm leather belt all day every day outside during hard construction work for about 2 years now (weekend days as well). The belt has held up great under tough conditions. I work outside all year round so in the cold winter temps I wear multiple layers of clothes- I often shed or add layers of clothes throughout the day as temps change- this ratchet type belt & buckle works instantly & flawlessly for any needed adjustments. These Mission belts have proven to me that they are quality long lasting belts. Even the packaging & presentation is well done. I believe Mission is on a mission to satisfy customers with a well made product! No disappointments here!- Buy it! 5
