Customer Reviews

lived up to expectationsSeems very well made. I have some boots which are difficult to remove wearing heavy socks during the winter. The last boo jack I had was plastic and broke. This one is wood and although I was a little hesitant to buy a wood one thinking is would not be strong enough, so far it has worked very well. 5Foot In FootI'm sitting on the top of my stairs, after an amazing night of dancing, beginning the process of removing my boots. I didn't wear my thin socks, and my legs/feet have probably swollen after a long evening of dancing (sometimes I'm old). I begin pulling on the boot, and am still pulling on the boot for what feels like eternity (probably close to 5 minutes). It has moved maybe an inch off of my foot, meaning, the boot is stuck. My foot is stuck, probably swelling more now that it's tightly compacted in the part of the boot it was not meant to be. On the verge of tears, after pulling for another 5 minutes (another eternity) my boot finally comes off.The boot jack, is probably one of the most innovative and most wonderful inventions! I am again, sitting, well, standing this time on my stairs, having just walked in from another amazing but long night of dancing. I proceed to remove my boots with my handy boot jack. I place one boot in jack, and the other on the foot pad of the jack, and pull my foot smoothly from the boot. I do the same with the other foot. Less than 10 seconds for both. No stuck foot, no tears, or brink of, and no 10 minutes (eternity) to speak of.I love my boot jack!!!! And anyone who owns a pair of boots should have one. They go hand in hand, or, I mean, foot in foot. 5"Deluxe" Boot Jack? What a piece of junkThis is not the cheapest boot jack, but I cannot imagine anything worse. I selected this item because it had a felt wrap on the inside of the jack to protect my boots from scuffing. After one use the felt started coming off, leaving gooey glue exposed. Having the glue exposed is worse than if I had purchased one without the felt.Very disappointed and cannot recommend this to anyone. How difficult is it to make a boot jack? I did this in Boy Scouts, should have kept that one. 1Sturdy, but narrowThis is a good sturdy boot jack, but is really narrow. My husband has to use the end of it to be able to take his boots off & we felt that protects the cup is coming off. Nothing a little glue can't fix. 4Cheaply Made!I wish I can share the pictures of how this product was sent to me. The plastic parts are cheaply glued to the wood and they came out very easily. Basically the entire thing was pealing off. I can't believe they call this thing "Deluxe". They should be ashamed of charging this amount of money for this.I return it and bought one for $13 at cavanders that's stapled and very good quality.Ps: Return needs to come out of your pocket, which is $13 at UPS so think twice if you're going to buy this 1Don't buy this .The first time I put a boot in it , it split so I had to put screws in the side that split.Right after I used it the second time the other side split,so I had to screw that sidealso. It seems to me that this thing is just glued together and when you use it ,it just comes apart. Don't waste your money look for a better one. 1Good bootjack for the price! It is a nice bootjack, but I gave it only three stars, because the wood is split on one side about 1.5" away from the right edge, then held together with lots of glue. If it had been one solid piece, that would have raised it to a full 5 stars. Poor quality check on the production line.... too bad!Am going to return it and ask for a better made one. After this is accomplished, and if the new one is flawless, I'll revise upwards!*********************Revision: 3 days later....I filed a complaint about the poor quality of this bootjack, and they replaced it with a good one.So all is well resolved, to my satisfaction. If you found my review helpful, please, let me know!Thank you for your time! 4This is a Godsend after my hip surgeryI had hip surgery and taking off boots was sooooo difficult to reach down to take them off and was so painful. This boot Jack was a Godsend. It truly is amazing. 5AWESOME BOOT PULL!!!I LOVE MY NEW BOOT PULL!!! I just moved from Texas to Michigan and my boot pull didn t make the trip!! This new one is SO MUCH BETTER than the one I had!! This was thoughtfully constructed by folks that wear boots!!! A soft leather lines the mouth of the pull so it doesn t scratch your boots!! The traction grips help to balance and brace yourself for easy removal!! It also was designed to fit small to large feet by the pulls mouth design!!! I got a BiG Texas Surprise when I flipped the pull over and saw the Mallory s Made In Texas USA Brand on the bottom!! Nice to support my fellow Texan business owners!! God Bless Texas!! 5Lousy boot jackNot at all happy with this product. My boot gets stuck in the gripper and I can't get my foot out without sitting down and pulling it off by hand. Defeats the purpose, so I have gone back to my 25 year old one (the wood was splitting on it, but it still works. Unfortunately, I don't remember the brand or where I got it.) So my husband has been using this "new" one. This boot jack is NOT deluxe. We've only had it a few weeks and the gripper stuff is pulling off on both sides; hubby had to super glue them today. Not worth 2 bits. 2
