Perfect for Blustery, Windy WeatherI'm training for a half marathon as a run-walker. I wanted something that would keep my head covered on my long workouts. This is perfect. I don't have to worry about it blowing off of my head. Plus it's stylish! 5Excellent Product!I am an oddity - an Amish Mennonite lady who loves to run! This hat is perfect! I am able to feed my braid through the ponytail opening, with my veil on underneath the hat. Then I can easily take the hat off, still wearing my veil, and roll my braid into a bun after running/races. Some ponytail hats that I have require the ponytail/braid be much higher up on your head, which is uncomfortable for me. This is an excellent product! Works even better than I expected. I would DEFINITELY purchase from TrailHeads again! 5Low Ponytail - better for longer hairI got this for my wife. She loved the idea but didn't like where the ponytail hole was located. It forced her hair to be very low instead of more mid-skull. Her hair is only shoulder length, so it isn't long enough to form a good tail at the bottom of her head.She ultimately returned it. She suspected it was better for women with longer hair. 3Really for Low PonytailsI didn't really like this hat. I was all excited to get it, but when I got it I was really disappointed. The ponytail holder was SUPER low. You would have to have a REALLY low ponytail to make this work. Also, the fleece inside made my hair frizz up (even though my hair is straight). I usually prefer a high ponytail. This hat is really just for low ponytails. Although the quality was great, I will definitely be returning it. 2No need for a high ponytail to wear this. Nice to have a beanie that can do that.I work a job that requires me to have my hair tied back and I also work in all types of weather conditions. This beanie is great for working in the cold weather. I don t have to have a high ponytail to keep my head warm and head be comfortable. Wearing a regular beanie/knit hat with a ponytail tends to hurt after a while. THIS IS PERFECT. I wish it was a bit bigger to completely cover my ears, but I d still and have recommended it to my other female co-workers. 5Not as warm as I had hopedI bought this hat for running in winter, but in this nasty weather this year, I've discovered it's not as warm as I had hoped. I like that it's big enough to actually cover my ears, however if there is the slightest bit of wind, I might as well not have anything on my head. It is warm enough by itself for temperatures from about 35-50F (or warmer, depending on how quickly your ears get cold). If it's colder than 35, I have to wear an ear warmer under it for extra warmth. When I wore this recently in 20-degree temps with wind, I had to wear the hood of my wind jacket over the hat to keep my head warm. With the hood from my jacket, it WAS very toasty, but it was rather annoying having to wear yet another layer on my head. So, if you have mild winters, this hat may work for you, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it for REALLY cold weather. 3Great for running outside or for on the job when ...Helps keep the hat from rolling down into my eyes bc of my pony tail. There is a white logo in the back, pretty discrete and if it was an issue nothing going over with sharpee can't fix! 5DisappointedI wore this while skiing. It looks stylish but I was very disappointed. Did not keep me warm. Had to wear a hood over it. Fits loose around the head, if not for the goggles holding it in place I'm not sure it would have stayed on in the breeze. It doesn't protect the ears at all. I will use it on a warmer spring skiing day at the end of the season when my ears don't get so cold. 2Doesn't cover earsThis hat does not cover my ears. In the photo he ears are clearly covered up. I have an average size head. I'm pretty disappointed about this. 1Warm and lightweight!Received the lovely hat quickly. At first I thought..."Wow this is really thin material." However, I just used the hat in 7 degree morning weather and it is INCREDIBLY WARM. I love it and it looks really great. It is deep enough to cover your ears and fits nice to the head with just enough stretch. Really cute and functional hat! 5
